GOLF COURSE UPDATES:

The new golf course and pro shop hours are Thursday thru Monday, 9a.m. to 5p.m. The Golf Course will close for the season on November 29th, and will reopen April of 2010!!

The repairs on the golf course water feature have been completed, and the waterfalls are now fully functional!

The Shadow of The Bear

Rhodes Big View Overlook on Hwy 64 at Whiteside Mountain

The shadow, cause by Whiteside Mountain, is visible between 5:30 - 6:00 PM the last half of October and into early November. It is again visible the last half of February into March. The 750 feet tall cliffs of Whiteside, are the highest shear cliffs in the eastern United States. That should give you some idea of how large the bear is.

This is a favorite capture of many visiting photographers to our area!

Fitness Center Reopens

We are happy to announce that the necessary repairs have been made and the fitness center is now reopened! The new carpet really gives the fitness center a nice energizing look. Come check it out!!!

Golf Tournament Cancelled

Greetings from the Lake!

Autumn is in full swing here in Western North Carolina! With the "Bear Lake Golf Club Fall 2 Team Tournament" only a week away, we have been unable to receive the minimum amount of participants to make this event feasible. Therefore we are having to cancel the event. We will be offering regular tee times throughout the weekend! To make tee time reservations please call Dick Howard at the Golf ProShop, (828)293-5005.

Fall Reflection
