Monday - Thursday - Closed

Temporary Memberships

To all homeowners and their guests:
Please have all guests fill out and sign the Temporary Membership agreement and send to Bear Lake Reserve, attention Gail Keel, at least 72 hours in advance of arrival. Guests need to come by the Lake Club for their temporary membership cards before using any of the facilities. The fee this year is $1.00 per family for the entire stay. This fee satisfies our requirements for the state of North Carolina. If you need a copy of the Temporary Membership Agreement, one is availble on an older Blog posting or one will be emailed or faxed to you upon request. Contact

Restaurant Hours

The Lure Restaurant, Lounge and Bar is open for lunch Wednesday through Saturday from 12:00 - 4:00, Dinner, Friday and Saturday, 5:00 - 9:00, and Brunch, Sunday, 11:00 - 2:00.

Welcome Ann Palmer Reynolds

Congratulations to Brandon and Shannon Reynolds on the birth of Ann Palmer on July 16, 2010. She entered the world weighing 8 pounds and 13 ounces and was 22 inches long. The Staff of Bear Lake extends the very best wishes to the Reynolds family and look forward to meeting Ann Palmer.

Plans are coming together for our spectacular Fourth of July Celebration here at Bear Lake Reserve. Beginning at 12:00 we will be serving a BBQ buffet at the Lake Club. The buffet will include pork BBQ, coleslaw, baked black beans, boiled fresh corn on the cob, rolls or buns, apple crisp with ice cream and a non-alcoholic beverage. The cost is $25.00 for adults, 12.50 for children 12 and under, and free for children under 3. Skate Rink Jukebox will be playing at the Lake Club.

Beginning at 6:30 and lasting until 9:30, the exciting Voltage Brothers band will be featured at the Amphitheatre behind the Greeters Cottage. The Burger Shack from Dillsboro will be on hand serving up their delicious hamburgers, hotdogs, lemonade, etc. and beer tents will be set up at locations at the Amphitheatre for refreshment. Of course, the Grand Finale will be the fireworks at the Amphitheatre after dark.
